Isle of Man native Dawn Ashall forms part of our Senior Management Team as Group Operations Director – bolstering Wilton’s Family Office and Business Support Team with more than 25 years of experience.
Prior to joining Wilton, she worked as Senior Manager of Fiduciary Services at Equiom Group – a wealth protection firm with a reputation for long-standing and meaningful client relationships. She carries this value system into her work at Wilton and believes strongly in the benefits of getting-to-know one’s client. ‘That way’, she says, ‘you can provide a more thorough service to them’.
Having been drawn to Accountancy from an early age, Dawn joined KPMG straight out of school. By the time her friends started to follow her into the workplace, she was already a fully qualified accountant and well on her way to a “Big 4” management role. Dawn is both an FCCA-qualified accountant and a STEP Trust and Estate Practitioner. From here, though, she decided that accountancy alone would not fulfil her appetite for growth and started to branch outwards.
This approach to work has seen Dawn gain experience across a number of different fields – accounting, administrative, tax, VAT, legal and financial, to name a few. At Wilton, this breadth of experience will help her weave together the company’s various departments. A natural multi-tasker, Dawn is a firm believer in the value breaking down a big task into manageable components.
When it’s time to wind down, Dawn gets her teeth into DIY and practical tasks. Pre-lockdown, she assisted the roofer in re-slating the roof of her Isle of Man residence. She loves the Isle of Man and believes that her two children, aged seven and twelve, don’t know how lucky they are to live amongst such natural beauty. Weather permitting, the family spend their summer weekends wakeboarding and donuting on speed boats.
